Webinar: Mental Health Resource Panel
Home visiting professionals play a critical role in supporting the emotional well-being of young children and families.
To help these home visitors better understand the mental health resources available across Los Angeles County, the Referrals Workgroup of the Los Angeles County Perinatal and Early Childhood Home Visitation Consortium hosted a panel webinar on May 7, 2026, featuring experts from several leading organizations.
Representatives from Maternal Mental Health Now, BrightLife Kids, LA County Department of Mental Health, Help Me Grow LA, and Jewish Family Service LA discussed:
- Available perinatal and family mental health services
- Referral pathways and eligibility criteria
- Strategies to support families facing barriers to accessing care
- Practical tips for navigating mental health systems and managed care plans

- Mental Health Websites:
- iPrevail (from LACDMH) includes one-on-one peer support, interactive lessons and community support groups.
- NAMI Westside Los Angeles Free and Low-Cost Resources includes multiple hotlines, support groups, counseling centers, private practices and inpatient treatment options.
