Spotlight on the Staff: Victoria Bibby
For nearly 30 years, Victoria Bibby has dedicated her career to supporting children and families, beginning in the field of early childhood education and later transitioning into home visiting services in 2010.
“Early in my career as a home visitor, I saw firsthand how impactful these services can be during some of the most vulnerable times in a family’s life. I realized that helping parents work through trauma, build resilience, and strengthen their parenting skills can change the trajectory of an entire family for generations.”
Today, Victoria is Director of Direct Services at Antelope Valley Partners for Health (AVPH), a role she has held for the past 10 years. She oversees a broad portfolio of programs that support families throughout the Antelope Valley, including Welcome Baby, Healthy Families America Home Visiting, the Handworker Program, Lactation Support, Workforce Development, Relative Home Assessment Services, Relative Support Services, and the Youth Department.
What Victoria loves most about her work is the impact that AVPH and home visiting programs have on children and families. She is passionate about advocating for services in the Antelope Valley and championing programs that support the prevention of child abuse. She believes every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment and a strong voice in the community.
Beyond her role at AVPH, Victoria is actively involved in a variety of boards, councils, and coalitions throughout Los Angeles County and the Antelope Valley. She values the opportunity to collaborate with community partners, advocate for children and families, and help shape programs and policies that strengthen the wellbeing of the communities she serves.
In addition to serving families, Victoria is passionate about developing future leaders.
“I truly love my job. I enjoy training, mentoring, and supporting staff as they grow into leaders within the community. We often talk about the ‘parallel process.’ When we support and empower our staff, they are better equipped to walk alongside families and empower them in return.”
Through her leadership, compassion, and unwavering commitment to service, Victoria continues to strengthen programs, support staff, and improve outcomes for children and families in her community.
“Victoria is a dedicated and compassionate team member who brings heart, energy, and genuine care to everything she does at AVPH. Her unwavering commitment to supporting children, youth, and families, combined with her professionalism, positivity, and ability to connect with others, creates a lasting impact throughout our community. Vicki’s willingness to go above and beyond every day makes her an invaluable part of our team and a true champion for the people we serve.”
