Webinar: Promoting Responsive Bottle Feeding

Research shows that experiences and exposures during infancy can have lasting effects on later health outcomes. This is why supporting healthy early feeding interactions, like responsive feeding, is so important during this time.

In this webinar — hosted by LA Best Babies Network on February 13, 2023, for staff in our network of home visiting organizations and Welcome Baby hospitals — Dr. Alison Ventura:

  • Defines responsive feeding and discusses the importance of it
  • Shares research on the associations between bottle feeding and overfeeding leading to rapid weight gain
  • Highlights the difference between breastfeeding versus bottle feeding
  • Outlines ways home visitors can promote responsive bottle feeding
