Success Under Pressure: Navigating Change in a Rapidly Evolving Landscape

[This blog post was written in collaboration with our partner Work2Live Well.]

Home visiting teams are constantly adapting. Whether it’s responding to the evolving needs of families, navigating systemic changes, or managing the emotional demands of the work, flexibility and resilience are essential. But staying grounded through it all isn’t easy, especially when we’re living in a period of rapid change and uncertainty.

To more confidently navigate this evolving landscape, we need to understand our emotional response to change and work on shifting our mindset from resistance to adaptability.

In a webinar — hosted by LA Best Babies Network on April 7, 2025, for all staff in our network of home visiting organizations and Welcome Baby hospitals — Teresa McKee and Melissa Sims from Work2Live Well shared valuable insights on:

  • Developing strategies to navigate change with confidence in a continually shifting environment
  • Using techniques to sustain morale and motivation during times of uncertainty and transition
  • Understanding how stress impacts productivity, and how to identify key adjustments to enhance workflow efficiency

By practicing reframing the stories we tell ourselves, shifting our perspective to look for opportunities, and acting with intention, we can maintain control of our inner landscape, allowing us to adapt to whatever circumstances arise externally. Life is not going to stop changing, but we always have a choice in how we experience it.

The webinar recording is not available, but the Work2Live Well team plans to hold a webinar series on this topic in the future. Don’t miss the links to related resources below:
