How Home Visiting Works: Stories From the Field in South Los Angeles

“The program gave me the opportunity to be the best version of myself, and this allowed me to be a better parent for my children.”

That’s what Whitney said at a luau-themed luncheon for families participating in the Healthy Families America home visiting program offered by Lundquist – South Los Angeles Health Projects. The June 2023 event, which was held at Lundquist-SLAHP’s partner site Shields for Families, featured a craft station for kids, a photoshoot, and an infant massage session. Families were recognized for their accomplishments in the program, and a few talked to our video cameras to sing the praises of their home visitors.
