Welcome to the Family Strengthening Network Summit 2023

Greetings, Family Strengthening Network teams!

We are very excited to celebrate you at our annual summit on June 15, 10:00am – 12:30 pm!

We have these summits every year to express our heartfelt thanks for the amazing work you do. Your commitment to supporting families is truly impressive and inspiring. But those are just a couple of the words that describe you. Here are a few more:

Home visitors, nurses, outreach specialists, hospital liaisons, supervisors, data and admin coordinators — you all play an integral role in building a stronger and healthier Los Angeles County. And because you’re helping kids get the best start in life, you’re not only making a difference now, but for generations to come.

This year’s theme is Creating Connections: Building an Inclusive Home Visiting Village. With our network’s growing efforts to engage fathers and other partners, to meet the needs of nontraditional families, and to ensure that we’re culturally competent and respectful to all, we’re amplifying and broadening our impact.

No matter who it is or what their circumstances, you provide a non-judgmental ear and a compassionate heart. The safe space you create gives your clients a unique opportunity to openly express their concerns, ask questions, and receive the help they need. That’s powerful!

On behalf of the countless families whose lives you have touched, we extend our deepest gratitude and appreciation. Your selflessness and dedication set an example for us all and remind us of the power of human connection and support.

Dear Welcome Baby Team at PLCM,

As we come together for our final Home Visiting Summit, I want to take a moment to share my deepest gratitude and admiration for each of you. It has truly been an honor to work alongside such a compassionate, dedicated, and inspiring group of women.

Over the years, you have made a lasting difference in the lives of countless new families—offering support, comfort, and hope during some of their most vulnerable moments. Your selfless care, unwavering commitment, and genuine love for others have not only touched the hearts of the families we’ve served but have also been the foundation of what made our Welcome Baby Program so impactful.

You exemplify the values of Providence in every way—through your compassion, excellence, and service. I couldn’t be prouder of all that we have accomplished together, and I carry forward deep respect and appreciation for the work you’ve done.

You are, without a doubt, the absolute best!

With heartfelt thanks,
Laura Moller-Leon
