Home Visiting Partner Agencies

Women who deliver at one of these Welcome Baby hospitals can receive a complimentary visit at bedside with a Hospital Liaison. The Liaison provides support and helpful tips on breastfeeding, infant care and development, bonding and attachment, and maternal self-care. She also explains the Welcome Baby program and other more extensive home visiting options that may be available.

Moms who opt to participate in Welcome Baby receive five free in-home visits over the next nine months (at a time and place of their choosing). Others, who might benefit from more extensive or more frequent home visits (for up to five years, in some cases) may choose to receive services from one of these partner agencies, which use either the Parents as Teachers (PAT) or Healthy Families America (HFA) curriculum. Both of these models are nationally respected and have been proven effective in independent research studies.
